The self as a soul has three contexts: physical, subtle, and bodiless. The first one is the soul in a physical body. The second one is out of the body and in subtle body. The third one is out of the physical and subtle bodies.
Awareness of the self as a soul in any context is helpful to be free from worry, tensions, anxiety, fear, negative feelings, and negative emotions.
In this blog post, the practice of soul consciousness in physical context(dehi abhimani awareness ) is presented in the form of a self commentary.
I, a soul, a point source of energy, am sitting at the centre of the forehead in the physical body. I am aware that the self is a soul, different from the body, sitting at the centre of the forehead.
I, a soul, am a point source of energy. I, a soul, am eternal. I, a soul, am loveful, peaceful, blissful, and powerful.
I, a soul, am sitting at the centre of the forehead in my body.
I, a soul, see through the eyes.
I, a soul, listen through the ears.
I, a soul, speak through the mouth.
I, a soul, act through the sense organs.
I, a soul, also see the others as souls sitting at the centre of their forehead. They act through their bodies. They are also eternal, loveful, peaceful, blissful, and powerful.
In the awareness of the souls in the bodies(dehiabhimani awareness), there are unlimited/unbound feelings. There is freedom. I see the souls separate from the bodies. I see their journey of changes in their self awareness from soul consciousness to body consciousness.
I see their purity in self awareness changing to impurity. Purity in self awareness is soul consciousness and impurity in self awareness is body consciousness.
All souls were pure in the awareness of the self at the beginning of their journey on the earth. I don’t see their impure awareness and actions in the present time. Souls go through the cycles of soul conscious awareness and body conscious awareness. In the first half of a cycle I am soul conscious being in the body. In the second half of the cycle, I am body conscious. I forget that I am a soul and think to be the body.
In the body consciousness, there are stress, strain, anxiety, fear, and negative feelings. Also, there are sickness and sorrows because of it.
In body consciousness, I say “I have Parkinson’s disease”. In this awareness, I associate the disease with the self, and take sorrow from the symptoms.
In soul consciousness, I say “My body has Parkinson’s disease”. I disassociate the self with the disease and its symptoms. In this awareness, I am always victorious over physical symptoms.
