HOPE shortcut online course

I find  the following online course is useful to manage PD symptoms based on a different perspective to PD.

The HOPE Shortcut Online Course is a self-help program created by Lilian Sjøberg for people with chronic illnesses—especially Parkinson’s disease—who want to explore whether reducing stress and addressing emotional patterns can lessen their symptoms.

Main idea

The course is built around the hypothesis that symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and some other chronic conditions are strongly influenced by accumulated stress, trauma, and learned stress responses. It proposes that by understanding these connections and systematically reducing stress, people may be able to decrease symptom severity.

The acronym HOPE stands for:

  • H – Hope
    • Develop the belief that symptoms can improve.
    • Reconsider conventional assumptions that chronic diseases inevitably worsen.
    • Topics include stress, placebo/nocebo effects, exercise, and body memory.
  • O – Observe symptoms
    • Keep a diary for several weeks.
    • Track fluctuations in symptoms and identify situations associated with symptom peaks.
    • Learn to recognize that symptoms may vary rather than remain constant.
  • P – Pacify symptoms
    • Learn four broad strategies that the author believes people worldwide use to recover or improve from chronic illnesses.
    • Participants are encouraged to select and apply strategies that fit their circumstances.
  • E – Engage
    • Develop motivation, persistence, and practical tools to continue the process of stress reduction and symptom management.

Strange experience

My wife’s aunt died due to Parkinson’s disease. Before her death, her fingers and toes were twisted. Soon after her death, the twists disappeared and the fingers and toes became normal in her dead body.

My explanation for this observation is as follows. The state of her mind was causing the twists by giving control signals from the brain. When she died, the mind ceased. With that control of her twists were stopped. And that led to disappearance of twists.

My view is the mind’s state causes symptoms of PD. When I am peaceful, my tremors stop, and rigidity reduces. I also experience tremors stop when I detach from the body, and get into soul consciousness.

When I am in anxiety, I find that hand tremors increase. The rigidity also increases.

Invisible friend’s connection reduced intestinal rigidity

I have been going through intestinal rigidity for the last 6 years as a PD symptom. It has been growing slowly and slowly. It manifests as a catch at a spot on the right side of the abdomen.

It was bearable till about four months ago. Then onwards, it has been changing its location from the bottom right side of the abdomen to the top right side of the diaphragm. Recently I found breathing difficulties  when it moves to locations near the diaphragm.

On one night, I found it very difficult to breathe. I was about to call ambulance. But I was hesitant to call it. Instead, I went into my meditation room to talk to the invisible friend with an  expectation of  Him to signal the brain to reduce the intensity of the rigidity in the intestine.

It is possible to signal the brain, since my invisible friend is a point source of non physical energy. His thoughts are manifested as vibrations.

In about a minute, I found the breathing difficulty coming down. As a result, it was manageable. I could avoid taking  ambulance.

Sometimes, when I find difficult with the intestinal rigidity, I sit in the meditation in which I get into soul conscious awareness, and then connect with the invisible friend  with awareness of Him as a point source of energy. Whenever I flip my self awareness into soul consciousness, I find diminishing of the intensity of rigidity, and tremors reducing and also disappearing.
